Buying a Bosch NIT8665UC Induction Unit

(For general information about buying equipment through this site, please read this page; for general information about induction itself and its pros and cons, browse this entire site, perhaps starting with our page on how induction works.)

About the NIT8665UC Induction Unit

General Description

This is a five-element, 36-inch-wide induction cooktop. Unlike many other 5-element units, it has a decidedly large main element, 11 inches in diameter, with plenty of cooking power (at "boost", an amazing 4.4 kW) and a "dual-zone" nature, allowing it to be used as either a 7" element or an 11" element. This unit has stainless-steel trim front and back, the Bosch "CleanLock" feature, the Bosch "AutoChef" feature, and their distinctive "SteelTouch" control-pad arrangement. (This unit has a sister model, the NIT5665UC.)

Destination ZIP Code:

For units to be delivered within the State of California, the State sales tax of 8¼% will be applied; all other orders are untaxed by the seller, but you may be responsible for a "use tax"--check with your state taxing authority if in doubt. (That applies to all items of any kind purchased from anyone anywhere outside your state.)

About Actual Buying

To better understand the details of purchase and delivery, please read this page of information.

To order the unit, click on the button below. That button will just take you to a page on which you enter a few basic data, which will be emailed to the supplier to initiate your order; following that, the supplier will make direct contact with you to finalize that order. (Normally, your order would be fully processed on line, but we are in the midst of a massive changeover in our interface with our supplier, so please bear with us and use the email interface.)

Induction Cooking Equipment Available Through This Site

The following induction-cooking equipment (here listed alphabetically by maker) is available for purchase direct through this site. We ask that if you have not already read our explanation of why we hope that you will choose to make your purchases here you please take a look at it now.

Note! We are always expanding our offering of equipment at retail: in particular, the list of products we offer in the U.K. will be expanding greatly in the future. Right now, we believe we have virtually all residential equipment available at retail in North America at the best internet prices to be found, and we also have a good selection of the available commercial-grade equipment (which selection will be growing). If you're looking for a particular product and it isn't on our lists, please email us with an inquiry.

Listed below, alphabetically by maker, is what we already offer. As a general guide, units described as "hob" are available in the U.K., while those described as "cooktop" (or, for countertops, "unit") have North American availability.

Please further note that "North American" always includes the U.S., but may or may not include Canada, depending on the supplier we use (in particular, Sears Canada does not have an affiliate program). But units only available for delivery in the U.S. can still easily be shipped to Canada through any of several third-party services dedicated to facilitating just such trans-border shipping. We frankly don't know enough about such services--other than that they exist--to recommend any, but information is available on line.
