BerghoffGeneral Berghoff InformationBerghoff is a Belgian company (founded 1994) best known for cutlery and cookware; it has numerous offices scattered about the nations of the world. We guess that its line of countertop induction units is outsourced somewhere and simply branded as "Berghoff". One finds the units showing up in numerous bargain and sale outlets (which says nothing about their quality, one way or the other). Their "party cooker" is especially interesting in that it has several various attachments that can transform it into several slightly different things (grill/tepinyaki, fondue, wok, or dinner set). (Also amusing is their little "Sheriff Duck" brightly colored unit obviously meant for children. They apparently have a large line of kitchen-related items for children all based on the same theme. We have no idea what the origin of the duck motif may be.) Some downloadable PDF catalogues show other units, but we have to guess that those are superseded or otherwise obsoleted, since their web-site listings show only the units tabulated below. Also, there seems to be some confusion as to just what their most common unit, the 18100003, really looks like--consider these images:
Nor are there any other extant Berghoffs that could be the other type pictured above. The IK 18 is by Bartscher, and commonly appears under other brand names (such as "Alaska").
