Thermador (part of the BSH Group)General Thermador Information
Thermador is another component company of the Bosch Siemens Home Appliances (BSH) Group, so its induction units can be expected to share at least some qualities and features with those of their sister brands: Bosch, Gaggenau, Neff, and Siemens. Unlike the Bosch and Siemens lines, for which North America is getting a single unit each in the 30- and the 36-inch widths, Thermador is also providing a "domino" unit and some exotic style variations (shiny metallic surfaces); but the basics seem much the same. (We couldn't resist including the image at the left, a remarkable conceit from the Mighty Minds at whoever directs Thermador's marketing efforts. Don't you wish you or your lady--as appropriate--looked like that in the kitchen? No? Oh well . . . . Maybe you'd like the Whirlpool lady better.) Besides the units we list, Thermador has two "hybrid" units, half induction and half radiant; our opinion of "hybrid" part-induction units is that if you don't know what you want, roast your food on a stick over a campfire. Half radiant: yuck. Thermador is joining a small but growing group of makers producing their products in an optional "metallic" look. We suppose that this is the next fad in kitchen styling, possibly in time to replace today's thirst for "hi-etch" all-black, which replaced the "wheat" look which replaced the "coppertone" look which replaced&nbps;.&nbps;.&nbps;.&nbps;wll, who can remember, and who cares? Anyway, if you like it enough to pay for it, it's there to be had. As always in these listings, we give these standard general--
Thermador Induction-Unit DataNote that we can sell Thermador products only for delivery within California & northern Nevada! (That is how Thermador chooses to do business; but you can consider the highly similar, but less expensive, (Note that while both the 30-inch and the 36-inch units come in either black or metallic silver, the 36-inch also comes in a third variant, black with so-called "sensor domes" for constant-pot-temperature cooking on certain elements.) We found two Thermador all-induction-cooking induction-cooking models (each with trim variants): Thermador CIT304GB/CIT304GMDo we sell it? Yes! - click on the unit name above for the "buy" page.
